April 2nd Is World Autism Awareness Day

April 2nd is World Autism Awareness Day and is a time for us all to go blue in an effort to “increase global understanding and acceptance of people with autism.”  There are so many individuals out there that contribute to society in a number of ways and they just happen to have autism.

Greta Thunberg is just the person who blew me away.  On a recent interview on PBS, she initiated a school strike for climate change. I encourage you to watch her 11-minute TEDx Talk where she describes the importance of climate change and gives insight into individuals on the autism spectrum. It is fascinating to hear a 15 year old engage on the global stage!
